Zeolite is a microporous crystalline aluminosilicate with high cation-exchange capacity, and that one property does different jobs across several industries.
What it is: The shared chemistry across all Zeolite grades we supply, high cation-exchange capacity, is what makes it useful for adsorption and filtration applications generally.
Key applications: As an ammonia and heavy-metal adsorption media and filtration substrate in water treatment and other environmental applications, its primary use in this general grade.
The same underlying mineral is also supplied in three application-specific grades: Zeolite Aqua Grade, for aquaculture pond management and wastewater treatment, Zeolite Feed Grade, for animal feed applications, and Zeolite Agri Grade, for soil conditioning and agricultural use, each with its own dedicated page since the buyer and the relevant properties differ by application.
